Is Riyad Mahrez’s new blonde hair behind Leicester form as playmaker becomes inspirational once again

The Foxes have won their last four matches and Mahrez has been at heart of each performance sporting bright new barnet

RIYAD MAHREZ has been Leicester’s bright spark in recent weeks — after brightening up his hairdo.

The Foxes star shocked everyone before facing Burnley almost two weeks ago by dying his hair blonde in a move that saw fans pulling their hair out.

But the Algerian’s bold move appears to have paid off, scoring twice and notching an assist since his trip to the barbers.

Mahrez, 26, has hit the net against Newcastle and Southampton, as well as setting up Demarai Gray in Leicester’s narrow 1-0 win over Burnley.

His hair-raising performances also appear to have rubbed off on the team too, with Claude Puel’s men in brilliant form heading into the new year.

Leicester have won four of last five Prem games, and are just five points from the Champions League places.

Meanwhile, reports claim Leicester want Hoffenheim defender Pavel Kaderabek.

The £5million-rated Czech Republic international is enjoying a barnstorming Bundesliga campaign.

And his fine form has put Claude Puel on red alert ahead of the January transfer window.
