DAVID DE GEA was left enraged with Gareth Barry after the West Brom midfielder appeared to stamp on his ankle.
The Manchester United keeper confronted the Baggies ace in the closing stages at the Hawthorns during the Red Devils' 2-1 win.
After Jose Mourinho's raced into a 2-0 lead through first half goals from Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard, they were made to work in the second period.
Substitute Barry pulled a goal back for his side in the 77th minute with a scrappy close-range strike, before he was the centre of controversy.
After De Gea flapped in his attempts to claim a corner in the 87th minute, he manged to quickly recover the ball before a West Brom player could capitalise.
But he was writhing in agony after replays showed Barry raking his studs down the back of his ankle.
He shot up and confronted the former England international, and was visibly angry after the incident.
And to add to the 27-year-old's rage, Barry looked to be unapologetic as well as appearing to insult the ex-Atletico Madrid star's hair.
The referee failed to show Barry a free-kick, and he could face retrospective punishment from the FA.
United's win keeps them 11 points behind rivals Manchester City, and face Bristol City, Leicester and Burnley in their next three games.
Here are some tweets from fans who were left disgusted by Barry's stamp...
Tottenham pair Dele Alli and Harry Kane came under fire for dangerous tackles on Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling respectively.
Both players were booked so will avoid retrospective punishment.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, when asked about Alli's lunge, said: "It was a dangerous action, like the one with Harry Kane and Raheem."
