LIAM MILLER has a 'big fight on his hands' as he battles cancer, John Hartson has said.
SunSport reported last month how the former Celtic star was suffering from the killer disease.
Football pals including ex-Hibs ace Tam McManus and BT Sport pundit Chris Sutton rallied round the Irishman.
He reportedly flew back home last month for chemotherapy after having treatment in the USA.
But now Hartson has confirmed his former team-mate still had a "big fight on his hands".
Providing an update on Twitter, Hartson said: "Just off the phone to Liam Miller.
"He has a big fight on his hands and is feeling determined and battling hard through this horrible period of his life.
"We send him our prayers and strength. And hope that Liam can get back to a normal way of life."
