Manchester United youngster Kieran O’Hara signs new contract to keep him at Old Trafford until 2020

MANCHESTER UNITED keeper Kieran O’Hara has signed a new deal at the club.

The 21-year-old has risen through the ranks at Carrington and has been a regular for Ricky Sbragia’s reserves.

O’Hara has already had a taste of first-team action making five appearances for Morecambe in League Two last year.

Local boy O'Hara has forced his way in the Republic of Ireland Under-21 set up and his progress has been rewarded with a new contract until 2020.

O’Hara said: “Since I joined United, it has been everything I expected it to be.

“The club gives you all the guidance that you need from experienced coaches to improve every single day.

"But I know that the hard work has just started and that I need to continue to listen and give everything in training and the matches we have coming up.

“I know I’m at the right place to continue my development as a young player and I’m thrilled to have signed a new contract."

O’Hara is currently fourth in the Old Trafford goalkeeping pecking order behind David De Gea, Sergio Romero and Joel Pereira.

The keeper follows Scott McTominay and Angel Gomes who ahve both penned long-term deals at the club.

Jose Mourinho takes his side to Ashton Gate tonight to face Bristol City for a place in the Carabao Cup semi-final alongside Manchester City and Arsenal who progressed through on Tuesday.
