Arsenal news: Barcelona whizkid Jose Arnaiz targeted as Gunners look to poach prospect
Arsene Wenger is keen to take advantage of the lack of first-team opportunities on offer to nab the Spanish winger
ARSENAL are hoping to poach Barcelona whizkid Jose Arnaiz, according to reports.
The left winger, 22, joined Barca from Valladolid in a £3million deal over the summer.
And Marca claims the Gunners are hoping to take advantage of a lack of first-team opportunities to lure him to London.
Arnaiz scored a stunning goal as he made his Barcelona debut in a 3-0 Copa del Rey win over Murcia in October.
But that remains his sole taste of senior football - although he has fired in six strikes in 18 Barca B games.
Offering an easier path into top-flight action allowed Arsene Wenger to tempt Cesc Fabregas to England as a kid.

But Pep Guardiola may decide to steal a march on the French outfit and launch a bid in January.
Wenger is believed to be prepared to risk losing Sanchez and Mesut Ozil for nothing when their deals expire in June.
But Emirates chiefs would be forced to consider reasonable offers as they look to recoup some of their investment.
