French full-back has managed to hit form in the Europa League and EFL Cup and hopes he has caught the eye

And now he hopes to finally secure a move away after several potential switches collapsed at the last minute.

Debuchy, 32, told RMC Sport: “I want to leave, to find a new challenge in January.

“The fact I’m playing well will give me opportunities.

“We’ll see if there are good opportunities in the transfer window. I’m open.”

Debuchy has played just 13 league games for Arsenal since arriving from Newcastle in 2014.

He has managed to fight his way back into the fringes after Arsene Wenger accused him of lying about a failed move to Manchester United.

But his £70,000-a-week deal is putting off many suitors - including Nice - who Debuchy claims did a medical before failing to get in touch with him.

He added: “I was waiting for them to get back to me, but in the end they never did, not even a little message.

“I was very disappointed with that attitude, especially from Mr [Julien] Fournier [Nice CEO].

"But I’ve moved on and it’s allowed me to play very high-level games with Arsenal again.”
