Eduardo, who spent three years with the Gunners, was last playing for Atletico Paranaense in his homeland of Brazil before his return to Europe.

Arsene Wenger brought the striker, whose full name is Eduardo Da Silva, to North London from Dinamo Zagreb for £7.5million back in 2007.

He made a decent start to life in the Premier League before suffering a horrific injury in February 2008.

Following a tackle by Birmingham's Martin Taylor, Eduardo suffered a broken left fibula and a dislocated left ankle that left him sidelined for a year.

The Croatian international, who took on citizenship of the European nation in 2002, struggled to return to form following his lengthy lay-off and only scored eight goals in 41 appearances in the English top-flight in total.

Eduardo left Arsenal in July 2010 to join Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk and helped them to win the league and cup double in each of his four years at the club.

He then went back to Brazil at the end of his contract to sign for Flamengo but he left his homeland to return to Shakhtar less than a year later.

He bagged 14 times in 29 matches for the club during the 2015/16 campaign before heading back to Brazil again earlier this year to sign for Paranaense.

But after a miserable few months back in South America he now appears ready to give his career another go in Europe with his impending switch to Poland.

Legia currently top the Ekstraklasa by two points with just nine matches remaining of the regular season before the play-off stage takes place.

Eduardo scored 29 goals in 64 caps for Croatia, making him the second most prolific striker for the nation alongside Mario Mandzukic, with both men sitting behind another former Arsenal star Davor Suker who netted 45 times.
