Tottenham news: Spurs to rival Man City, Liverpool and Leicester for Norwich City’s James Maddison
Canaries are determined to hang on to the ace and will reportedly demand a figure of £20million
TOTTENHAM are reportedly among the clubs tracking highly-rated Norwich City star James Maddison.
Mauricio Pochettino has been watching the youngster closely since before he joined the Canaries from Coventry in February 2016.
But the Standard claims that they will face stiff competition for the 21-year-old from Liverpool, Manchester City and Leicester.
Championship side Norwich are determined not to lose Maddison this month.
They have already sold Alex Pritchard to Huddersfield for £11million.
And they will be demanding a £20m fee for the England Under-21 international.
But Spurs, who loaned talented teenager Marcus Edwards to Norwich yesterday, could agree a deal now and let Maddison remain at Carrow Road for the rest of the campaign.
They completed a similar arrangement with MK Dons when they captured Dele Alli in February 2015.

Just last month Pochettino revealed that the North London side needed to sign more English talent.
And he hinted that deals could be done in this January transfer window.

The Argentine said: "It's so important today to identify our targets for next summer.
"Maybe we need to sign players in January and bring them in six months before.
"[The Dele Alli deal] is a very good example that you need to anticipate. And today we are at a club that needs to anticipate.
"We cannot be reactive because if we are, we are going to lose."
Maddison has scored seven goals for Norwich so far this season.
Tottenham are also watching 18-year-old Stevenage defender Ben Wilmot.
And they have recalled Cameron Carter-Vickers, 20, from his loan spell at Sheffield United.
