Jordy Clasie launches scathing attack on ‘horrible’ Southampton and wants permanent stay at Club Brugge
Dutchman joined Saints for £8million in 2015 but endured a miserable time before joining Belgians on a season-long loan last summer
JORDY CLASIE has urged Club Brugge to keep his Southampton misery at bay next season - insisting he had a "horrible" time at St Mary's.
Saints paid Feyenoord £8million for the Dutch international in 2015.
However Clasie, under contract until 2020, made just 12 Premier League starts last term.
The midfielder joined Brugge on a one-year loan last summer, and has since helped the Belgians go nine points clear at the top of their league.
The 26-year-old now hopes to stay and play Champions League football with them next season.
Mauricio Pellegrino's Saints are currently 17th in the Premier League, one point above the drop zone.
Clasie said: "I am happy with Brugge after a horrible spell in England.
"We will see what my best option will be in summer.

Clasie has scored two goals in 49 Southampton appearances.
