PEP GUARDIOLA was left baffled by Mike Dean's decision to send off Raheem Sterling after he celebrated with Manchester City supporters and joked "if we cannot celebrate with the fans maybe we have to play without them".
Sterling scored a crucial 97th-minute goal before running over to City's travelling support.
Pep said after the game: "We are happy for the win. Daniel's goal was outstanding.
"We played with one striker to use more players to give the ball and in that period they missed simple balls after Daniels goal we played quite good.
"We controlled until we made a mistake in the build up and and they created a clear chance, after that we attacked, using the channels and the player running in behind.
"We deserved the victory, congratulations to Daniel, what a goal."
Raheem Sterling scored the controversial winner in injury time for Man City but was sent off just seconds later for celebrating.
That left the Manchester City fans absolutely livid and Sergio Aguero was held back by the police as he approaced a fan who was being restrained by a steward.

Pep Guardiola commented on Sterling's sending off: "Yeah [its unfair]. I don't understand, maybe someone can call me to explain.
"He went there to celebrate so I don't know what happened.
"I would like to know because against Liverpool he will not be able to play and we miss Kyle Walker too.
"If we cannot celebrate with the fans maybe we [have to] play without them."
Vincent Kompany also commented on the Mike Dean decision after the game. He said: "Its a little bit like the goal. You're dealing with something else then all of a sudden something happens.
"I don't know whether the crowd ran towards him or he ran towards the crowd, there were too many emotions."
During the game Nathan Ake was lucky not to see red too for his challenge on Jesus.
Guardiola commented on whether Ake was lucky to stay on. He said: "Definitely. I am saying that after winning he's the last man, it's a clear chance.
"The defender from Ake is ten or 15 metres behind so he should be sent off."
Pep didn't give anything away about any more signings at the Etihad, and simply said: "I don't know we will see. There are four or five days left."
