Arsenal vs Spurs has provided some unforgettable goals down the years – now you can choose which is best
From Bergkamp to Kane, watch our six favourite strikes from the Premier League era before voting on which one you think is the greatest
ARSENAL host Spurs in the North London derby this weekend and fans will be hoping for a cracker at the Emirates.
The games – while always fiercely contested - have not always been classics, with more than a fair share of low-scoring draws along the way.
But one thing there's been no shortage of in the 180 battles between the sides down the years is great goals – and SunSport wants you to choose the best.
We have chosen our six favourites from the bitter rivals' 50 Premier League clashes and even compiled a video so you can sit back and enjoy them all again before voting for your top strike.
There are three carefully picked from the 80 Arsenal have scored and another three whittled down from Spurs’ 61 goals in order to keep supporters from both sides of North London happy.
First up is the Gunners’ all-time record goal scorer Thierry Henry with his incredible solo effort at Highbury in 2002.
The Frenchman ran virtually the entire length of the pitch before beating two Spurs defenders and slotting a low shot past Kasey Keller.
Next is David Bentley’s unstoppable volley in the 4-4 thriller at the Emirates in 2008.
ARSENAL PARROT PYTHON SunSport's Neil Ashton declares that Gunners have ceased to be
The man once touted as the next David Beckham let fly from around 40 yards to leave a hapless Almunia sprawled on the ground wondering what had just happened.
Then it’s one for the purists with Denis Bergkamp’s sublime control and finish at Highbury in 1996.
Taking a lofty Ian Wright cross down with his left foot and beating his marker with the same deft touch, the Dutch genius then guides a strong right-footed shot past Ian Walker in the Spurs goal.
If the beauty of that goal was down to the finesse of Bergkamp’s left boot, Danny Rose’s effort in 2010 is all about power.
The then up-and-coming full-back unleashes a lightning bolt of a volley from at least 25 yards which would have gone in even if Spurs had three men in goal.
Our fifth goal – from Emmanuel Adebayor at the Lane in 2007 - combines a delicate touch and raw power.
The Arsenal forward receives the ball with his back to goal and manages to control the ball, turn his man and tee himself up with his first touch before sending a blistering volley past Paul Robinson.
For our final effort it’s man of the moment Harry Kane, with a goal from last March at the Lane which underlined his growing confidence as Tottenham’s talisman.
The England striker picked up the ball near the corner flag and despite having an almost impossible angle – and wearing an impossibly daft mask – he managed to curl it inside the far post beyond Ospina in the Arsenal goal.
So have a look at them all now, and if possible, put your allegiances aside and let us know which is your favourite by voting in the Voice of the Fans poll below.
